A single choice made to use overhead wiring stripped away a once beautiful landscape, and it has not been returned yet.
Chargers also will become a part of our future landscape.
They will not only serve as chargers for e-mobility vehicles, but also as energy spots in times of disaster.
As their importance in society increases, their presence will also increase.
That's why it becomes essential to break away from the so-called “manufacturing”,
and have a perspective of implementing designs into spaces and cities.
While we create new experience value,
we make it naturally blend in.
We create a new landscape by reducing visual noise
to harmonize with the space.
We visualize a new relationship between society and energy,
through the power of design, for the future we want to continue.

CAPABILITY
PLUGO provides hospitality services for EV and PHV users, focusing on the development of charging infrastructure at destination facilities. PLUGO DESIGN CENTER is in charge of the design field, and was established as a design team at Seitaro Design, a branding boutique that PLUGO has a business partnership with.
Because e-mobility chargers will become widespread in our future society, we see them not as mere objects but as landscapes. We believe we are "implementing design into spaces and cities”, and produce various creative work that is not limited to any one field.

PLUGO DESIGN CENTER's design domain includes everything that has to do with energy.
Rather than considering the charger as a "dot= product", our designs are characterized by how we think of them as the “surface= the entire environment”, which includes the landscape created by the charger, and the relationship between energy and society.
From products to spaces and landscapes, we realize the “design of the environment itself” by combining a variety of channels which is our strength.

PLUGO Design Philosophy
Product Design Based on the Environment
In order to respond to the environmental consideration of EV, I wanted to develop something about the environment and not about the car.
The car has been the center of technological development, and the ideal society that we have arrived at through such developments is a society that coexists with the environment through the use of electric cars. In the process of aiming for such a society and in order to spread the use of electric cars, the environment becomes a superficial cause, and charging poles of various designs are being built as a new noise in our scenery – I don’t think that is right.
What can add new functions to the existing space, while blending in and not causing significant changes to the existing physical properties? What material can be used while prioritizing the environment of the place to be installed? These are what I asked myself when coming up with the designs. I would be very delighted if I could be of any help in spreading EV.
